Brian was born and raised in Lynchburg, VA and graduated from Virginia Tech. He attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 2009. He began serving at Salem in 2022. Prior to that he served as the Discipleship Pastor at First Baptist Church Woodstock, GA. He also serves as a Camp Pastor each summer for Lifeway’s Fuge Camps. Brian is passionate about the gospel and its power to transform lives. He loves the Word of God and preaches and teaches in an expositional manner.

Brian has been married to his wife Emily – also a graduate of Southeastern – since 2006. They have three boys, Elliot, Benjamin, and Gideon. You might run into him on one of the local mountain biking trails or find him reading history, theology, or classic literature. He is a fan of the Atlanta Braves and Virginia Tech Hokies.
